Hong Kong Victoria Harbour Fireworks Panoramic
This location gives a unique perspective that is usually one felt on a rocky boat that is not ideal for photographing fireworks. An inexpensive sampan ride will get you to this break wall in the Causeway Bay typhoon shelter. Flay down on of the drivers and point where you want to go.
July 1st is an official holiday in Hong Kong and it’s full title is Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Establishment Day. Many people are about as not overly excited to celebrate and the city is not doing anything to help as they only hold fireworks now every 5th year. They did some extra pyrotechnics on the rooftops on some of the Hong Kong Island office buildings.
A location that is very popular with locals and still requires one to get to hours before the fireworks starts. The view itself is simply awesome and breathtaking. To be on the side of a hill overlooking all this that man has created is simply mind-numbing. It’s incredible in the day but add the night lights, fireworks, fog, dramatic sunsets and it takes it up another level.
Hong Kong Chinese New Year Fireworks displays in Hong Kong are legendary, breathtaking shows of pyrotechnics that light up the Hong Kong skyline over beautiful Victoria Harbour. Chinese New Year fireworks are held on the 2nd night of New Year.
Hong Kong Skylines is a breathtaking most of the year but at festive times of the year they turn it up a notch or two. Christmas is celebrated with neon and bright lights as well as some undefinable X-mas decorations that are truly HK unique. Fireworks are part of bringing in the New Year in Hong Kong as with most cities around the world. Chinese New Year has become the most dependable display as the celebrations of China Day, October 1st, in both 2013 and 2014 where both cancelled for very different reasons. Based on trends we can expect the next July 1st firework display to be held in 2017.
