2013-09-23 – Hong Kong Usagi Typhoon Approaching
Aspect Ratio 3:1
As typhoons approach Hong Kong the port empties out while the larger ships ride out the storm on open water and others head for the protection of typhoon shelters. Out chasing another typhoon sunrise this image taken from a location I scouted out that shows density of Hong Kong from a different perspective. To get to this location for sunrise means that one has to be up and going by 3am in the morning. The hike itself up over a thousand plus steep steps can take well over an hour through cemeteries. It’s a location that is very infrequently shot for sunrise for those facts alone.
