Hong Kong Tsing Ma and Ting Kau Bridges
Regardless of where or how I’m getting about in Hong Kong I’m always scouting out locations. Even when I get to a location like this one that is not easily accessible I will look for perspectives not captured before. There is a panoramic in another picture that I captured I’ve not seen photographed before.
Tsing Ma Bridge, to the left, has two decks and carries both road and rail traffic, which also makes it the largest suspension bridge of this type. The bridge has a main span of 1,377 metres (4,518 ft) and a height of 206 metres (676 ft). The span is the largest of all bridges in the world carrying rail traffic. When completed for accessing the new airport on Lantau it was the second longest in the world.
Ting Kau Bridge, in the distance, is a 1,177-metre (3,862 ft) long cable-stayed bridge that spans from Tsing Yi Island connecting the New Territories with more transport traffic than any other bridge primarily as a route between factories and the dock yards.
