Aspect Ratio: 2:1
Hong Kong Ma Wan Tsuen Village
Ma Wan Tsuen Village is located at the east end of Kowloon Peninsula at the entrance to the Hong Kong’s protected harbour of Kowloon Bay and Victoria Harbour. The village is directly across from the Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defense that was used to protect the city in the days of naval power. Both above the village and to the east one can also find old defense systems used in years past to protect the city.
The village is still inhabited with many fish restaurants. The feel of the whole place is very old world and what one would expect if one traveled back to earlier times except for residents watching TV’s and using smartphones. It’s just another of those communities that makes Hong Kong such a unique and wonderful place even though the living conditions are not what most would consider acceptable.
