2013-11-01 – Hong Kong Density at Dusk – Black and White
Aspect Ratio: 2:1
Black and white photography is something that is as old as photography itself and still brings out drama that colour images can’t. This image taken from a skygarden high above Sham Shu Po looking west towards Stonecutters Bridge. In the foreground is the dark pattern of the public housing estates that are found all over Hong Kong. The density of those buildings in both physical and population terms is staggering. Stonecutters Bridge is above the entrance to Rambler Channel that is one of the busiest and most efficient container terminals in the world working over 360 days a year except Chinese New Year and T8 typhoons. Hong Kong Density at dusk black and white is just one of a select few black and white images available at www.thisis.hk
