Hong Kong Aberdeen Early Morning Panoramic

This is a view than many millions have seen when taking the road to The Peak but very few photograph.  There is no pedestrian sidewalk and the road is very narrow and with trucks and frequent double-decker buses rushing by one needs nerves of steel to get the shot.  There’s also no space for luxury items like a tripod.

The view itself is the south side of Hong Kong.  In the far east with golden light is Stanley.  Moving further west there is Ocean Park.  Straight down below is where the name of Hong Kong came from as the locals used to call the village Hong Kong Tsai.  It’s now known as Aberdeen named after the former British Prime Minister.
